Agriculture Cooperative HACCAP GLOBAGAP European Commission
In partnership with the Center for Development and Support Tuzla, the Association of Citizens ” Nešto Više” will focus on the internal development of seven agricultural cooperatives and their agricultural producers in order to increase competitiveness in the local and regional market.
In the fruit/ vegetable sector, two cooperatives will be certified and operational according to HACCAP standards, while seven cooperatives and 200 already operational farmers will be certified and operational according to GLOBAGAP standards. The project will also ensure that 200 new fruit and vegetable farmers are equipped for production, and included in the cooperative business. The target group of cooperatives from northeastern Bosnia and Herzegovina will, in addition to including 200 new farmers, employ 20 new people and increase fruit and vegetable production and sales by 20% by the end of the project.
The implementation of the project started in September 2010, and the duration of the project is 24 months.
