NEŠTO VIŠE and PRONI, partners of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Zenica-Doboj Canton, are working on the development of three strategic documents for the period 2024-2027.

Yesterday, at the headquarters of the ZDK Government, we signed an agreement with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of ZDK, outlining cooperation in drafting the Education Strategy, encompassing preschool education, primary, secondary, and adult education, as well as the Higher Education and Scientific Research Strategy and the Youth Policy Strategy.

Today, Minister for Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Draženka Subašić, signed an agreement with the citizens’ association “Nešto više” and the association “PRONI” – Youth Development Center for collaboration in developing three strategic documents for the period 2024-2027.

Under the agreement signed at the ZDK Government headquarters, cooperation is envisaged in developing the Education Strategy, covering preschool education, primary, secondary, and adult education, the Higher Education and Scientific Research Strategy, and the Youth Policy Strategy. All three documents are expected to be finalized by the end of this year and submitted to the ZDK Assembly for approval.

Partners in drafting these strategies will include the Regional Development Agency (REZ), Chamber of Commerce of ZDK, Chamber of Crafts of ZDK, primary and secondary schools, preschool institutions, as well as institutions involved in formal and non-formal adult education. The strategic partner for developing the Higher Education Strategy is the University of Zenica.

Citizens’ Association NEŠTO VIŠE and PRONI have extensive experience in developing such documents, and we are pleased that the ZDK Government has accepted our offer to assist in drafting these strategic documents, demonstrating its concern for young people in the region.

Ultimately, the Education Strategy is expected to result in better, more effective job searches. Our joint goal is to align educational strategies with labor market needs, modernize them, and provide young people with better access to education, improved educational systems, and keep pace with the times.

Young people and local activists will be involved in drafting all documents, and citizens of ZDK will have the opportunity to express their views on these documents through public consultations.

🇪🇺 The agreement was signed within the framework of the “Youth Retention Program in BiH – General Mobilization” project, supported by the European Union (European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, EuResurs).
