Citizens’ Association “Something More”, on Friday, May 15, 2015. in cooperation with the Municipality of Posušje organized a lecture on “Growing and planting of economically viable aromatic medicinal plants.” The lecture was held in the premises of the Municipality, led by prof. dr. Nezir Tanovic.
During the lecture, topics were covered: the importance of medicinal plants, the method of reproduction, the specifics of the production of medicinal plants, tillage, seedling production, immortelle care, drying, investment in production and more.
The aim was to acquaint current and future producers of medicinal plants with the problems they encounter in production and to offer them solutions. “No job is easy and in this case it can be said that there is no bread without a hoe,” said Prof. Tanovic.
The lecture was followed by questions to which the professor was happy to answer and give expert advice. Everyone present was delighted with the lecture because something interesting could be found for everyone. In simple and understandable language, the professor took the audience on a short journey through the history of plants, so that those who decide to engage in agriculture for the first time came to their senses.
