-Finally permaculture in Mostar and Herzegovina!

12/12/2015 Saturday, The introductory workshop on permaculture gathered 27 great participants, who today, under the guidance of the excellent Ivan Gregov, spent an exceptional day.
In the theoretical part, we mostly worked with soil (how to improve it), and then we learned about the use of water, energy systems on a do-it-yourself basis, and construction according to permaculture principles (and different materials that can be used).
In the afternoon we drove to the farm Nešto Više in Humilišani. We first introduced the participants and the facilitator to the activities that take place on the farm, and the dreams we have for it. And then we tackled the tools and worked together on the beds without digging, in which we managed to plant the chard, chard and seed onions.
What good energy !!!
We are happiest that we also had a small paradise at the workshop (Safa, Karla, Eva and Marko) – who, deciding that they could do it better than the big ones, worked independently in their small gardens, and then ran around the farm, climbed trees, and supervised the greenhouses!
The group agreed to continue to communicate, try to independently organize small projects in the future, and a number of participants are interested in working on organizing a 72-hour permaculture course with Ivan, and his colleagues. So we have more goals ahead of us!
We thank all the participants for the pleasant company, and for the beds that remain on the farm to remind us of our first steps together. We are expecting you again in this place, which is intended for people to come, study, work and socialize: you are always welcome.

Many thanks to Ivan for being able to come to Mostar despite being too busy, and for praising the group, work, farm, will :). The agreement has fallen, we will work on further steps, we will start planning specific activities very soon. We know that a course is being prepared in Sarajevo at the beginning of spring, great news, so we will consider a similar term, perhaps to make it easier for permaculture instructors to import their arrival in BiH.
The activity is implemented within the project Support to Agricultural Development in Herzegovina, implemented by UG Nešto Više, and supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
