Thursday, Apr 30 2015 – We’re finally planting vegetables in the greenhouse! Join us, you are welcome!
The infrastructure is ready (greenhouse, irrigation system, foils, etc.), and the seedlings have been ordered! We are planting for the first time in a completely new greenhouse (approximately 500 m2).
Interested in learning the basics and finesse of planting in a greenhouse? Learn from the best: the process will be led by Dr. Omer Kurtović.
Transportation for participants is provided (Mostar – Humilišani – Mostar)
Departure to the farm:
GROUP 1: Practitioners and staff Something More leave for the demonstration farm in Humilišani at 8:30 am in front of the Association’s office.
GROUP 2: participants of the professional training “Production in protected areas” who have passed the theoretical part, Depart to the farm Something More for the practical part of planting at 9:30 am in front of the bakery Sunflower at the intersection near Hotel Ero (bus will wait for you).
GROUP 3: all interested parties (who do not belong to any of the above groups) can register their participation on the phone number 036 347 296 on working days from 9 to 16, and no later than Wednesday, April 29, 2015. to 12:00 h. Applications can be received by mail also until the same date.
How and what will we do?
The greenhouse is divided into 10 fields, and on Thursday we will plant the following: 1. Paprika Čapljinka, 2. Paprika roga i pepperoni, 3. Cherry tomato, 4. Parazdajz Optima and Volovsko srce, 5. Patlidžan Klasik, and 6. Krastavac Darina.
Interns and staff of UG Nešto Više will borrow one field in pairs, and under the expert guidance of Dr. Kurtović to take over the planting of a certain culture and coordinate the activity of the field with other participants in the action.
The remaining four fields will be planted later: 7. Wild strawberries, 8. Strawberry Klery, 9. Pipun / melon and 10. Watermelon. Anyone interested in joining us will be notified in a timely manner.
