We organized a conference in Mostar on the topic of “Hate Speech – Prevention and Consequences.”

In Mostar, we discussed hate speech, focusing on prevention methods, significance, and the consequences it brings.

We thank our guests who contributed to making the conference successful.

We presented three documents that we have produced:

  • Research and analysis of the impact of hate speech on peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, its effects on the mental health of youth, and its implications for security and equality.
  • Analysis of the presence of comments and content that can be characterized as hate speech in electronic media in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • Recommendations for the media.

After the conference, we continued socializing and working at our facility in Humilišani.

The conference was held as part of the project “Enhancing peace, security, mental health, and equality through the analysis of hate speech in the media in Bosnia and Herzegovina and reducing its occurrence and consequences through workshops and advocacy campaigns.”

We also thank the media outlets that visited us and covered this event.

The project is supported by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives – Bosnia and Herzegovina.
