On the Agricultural faculty of Banja Luka on 12 and 13.11.2019, the Agricultural school in Banja Luka was the host of a presentation of the PGS, the Participatory Warranty System was.
PGS is a system of certification of an organic manufacturer, which means active involvement of all stakeholders and it is intended exclusively for the local market.
The presentation was attended by about 50 participants.
This system of informal certification is applied in many countries and recognized by IFOAM – Organics International, the international organization for the promotion of organic production, which operates in 127 countries around the world.
The initiative of establishing PGS in Bosnia and Herzegovina is implemented by MarketMakers, a program supported by the Switzerland government and implemented by it consortium which makes Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation and Kolektiv d.o.o, with co-facilitators – Centre for economic and rural development – CERD and Nešto Više.
