Awarded Prizes for the Best Proposals on the Project “WE ALSO WANT TO GO TO THE SCHOOL”

UG Nešto Više, at the end of the project which is being implemented in the area of Tuzla Canton, awarded students from schools from Tuzla Canton who were the best rated on the competition “This is how I see my school approachable for all”. At this competition, middle-school and high-school kids from TK, had the opportunity to through the art, technical and literary works offer solutions to the problems of architectural barriers in their schools, and the way they can work on better accessibility and adaptability of schools for persons with disabilities. We received 57 papers in total. 12 of the best was awarded tablets, and all registered received comforting awards. In the past 6 months, we visited 90 primary and secondary schools from area of the Tuzla Canton as part of the project “WE ALSO WANT TO GO TO THE SCHOOL” collection data on the state of accessibility and adaptability of schools for access to students with disabilities. We put that data on the online map available at www.zelimznanje.com/map. We wanted to wake up curiosity in the youngest with this competition and to make them think about the problems of their peers and, also, to offer solutions. In addition to the map, it is important to note that we will offer architectural proposals to schools that will help them to easier finish the project. The project is implemented in the framework of the “Equality for all – Coalition of civil society in the fight against discrimination”, through Program grants. The project is funded by USAID and Fond open society BiH.
