Citizen’s Association “Nešto Više” begins with the realization of the new project “We want to go to school too!” which is primarily intended for children with disabilities. The main goal of the project is to provide equal conditions and educational opportunities for young people with disabilities (wheelchair users, people with impared hearing and vision) as their peers in primary and secondary schools. In the period September 2016-May 2017, the Association will gain insight into the current state of accessibility and adaptability of primary and secondary schools in the Sarajevo Canton for the access of students with disabilities and see how many of them currently attend school. Offer professional, feasible and cost-effective solutions to schools and relevant institutions so that schools can become accessible to PWDs, and provide PWD, government institutions and the general public with online access to information on the details and level of accessibility of schools in the Sarajevo Canton, with the possibility of including information from other FBIH Cantons and the RS.
This project is supported through the project “Equality for ALL-Civil Society Coalition in the Fight against discrimination”. The project is implemented in partnership by Mediacentar Sarajevo, Analitika-Center for Social Research, Rights for All and Vaša prava BiH. The project is funded by USAID and the BiH Open Society Fund.
