-Visit to the 83rd International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad

A group of 12 people from Trebinje, Jablanica and Mostar – representatives of small and medium enterprises, farmers and staff and associates of the Association of Citizens Something More visited the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad on May 14, 2016. At the International Agricultural Fair, which is being held in Novi Sad from 14 to 20 May 2016, about 1,500 exhibitors from 60 countries will present themselves. Also, during the seven days of the Agricultural Fair, a large number of conferences, business and professional gatherings, round tables, promotions and presentations are expected. The partner country of the 83rd International Agricultural Fair is Italy, which participates with 16 companies. As part of the accompanying program, the most impressive is the exhibition of agricultural machinery. At this year’s fair, visitors had the opportunity to see tractors and attachments in operation. More than 50% of the total open space at the fair is covered by agricultural machinery.
Organic products and products with a geographical indication from Serbia were also presented at the fair. The Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Serbia, Snezana Bogosavljevic Boskovic, stated that the area under organic production in Serbia has been gradually growing in the last five years, but that it could be much larger. Only 67 companies in Serbia process organic products.
The study visit was organized within the framework of the somewhat more project “Support to Agricultural Development in Herzegovina”, supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
