06/14/2015 – today in the Mostar office of the Association of Citizens Something More was held a full day of education on the topic of “Effective communication”.
The training was attended by nine interns of UG Nešto Više, who perform their two-month internship in the field of agriculture and / or food technology in this association, or with partners of the association – ZZ Jablanica, Agrimax doo Mostar and Mlini doo Čapljina.
During the training, the following topics were covered: what is education; what is effective communication; verbal communication: active listening, debate vs. dialogue; nonverbal communication: posture, gestures, eye communication, facial expression, movement, pause, and voice quality; what a CV is: why it is important and how employers read and experience it.
At the end of the training, participants tried their hand at presenting to others, to try to become aware of what they look like in front of others while presenting their idea, and what they should work on and practice regularly to communicate their message to others more effectively.
Communicating effectively is an essential skill for all of us, and especially for young people who are just entering the business world. A group of young and hardworking people who adopted new skills today made the workshop interactive and interesting with their active participation: Emina Balavac, Aida Letuka, Maja Karačić, Belma Kasumović, Edin Bušatlić, Haris Pidro, Adis Bešić, Eldar Kusur and Muhamed Karadža.
The training was held as one of many activities on the project Support to Agricultural Development in Herzegovina, implemented by UG Nešto Više, and supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
