-Completed series of focus groups and round tables in Herzegovina

The staff of the Association of Citizens “Something More” in the period from 01.11.2013. to 16.01.2014. organized focus groups and round tables in the region of Herzegovina presented the project “Support to Agricultural Development in Herzegovina” supported by USAID.
The focus groups included 120 people: representatives of local authorities and agencies (Municipality of Široki Brijeg, Municipality of Trebinje, Agency for Provision of Professional Services in Agriculture Trebinje, Municipality of Jablanica, Municipality of Neum, Municipality of Konjic, Municipality of Mostar, Municipality of Posušje, Municipality of Stolac, Municipality of Čapljina, Municipality of Ravno, Municipality of Ljubinje and Municipality of Berkovići), members of the Women’s Association (Women’s Association “Orhideja” Stolac and Women’s Association “Most” Jablanica), and youth representatives (graduate and postgraduate students of the Faculty of Agriculture in Mostar and members and associates of the Youth Club ” New wave (Blagaj).
The round tables included 104 people: representatives of agricultural associations, cooperatives, and farmers themselves (Association of Agricultural Associations of Konjic Municipality, Association of Beekeepers “Roj”, Association of Agricultural Vegetable Producers “Buturović Polje” and Citizens’ Association for Fruit Production and Processing “Konjic” , and the Association of Agricultural Associations Jablanica, Beekeeping Society “Acacia”, Association of Citizens “Poljoprivrednik” and Women’s Association “Most” Jablanica, and ZZ Jablanica “), and representatives of institutions, agencies, NGOs, associations, cooperatives, companies and the education sector Mostar (Agromediterranean Faculty Mostar, UNDP Mostar, BioTime Mostar, OZZ “Hercegovka” Stolac, LDA Mostar, Web Studio Agency, Futura Mostar, REDAH, USAID / SIDA FARMA, Environmental Protection Fund HNK-Ž, Faculty of Agriculture and Food Technology Mostar , City of Mostar, Jaffa-Komerc, PZ “Trešnja produkt”, Eco-Line Mostar, Nansen Dialogue Center Mostar and ZZ “Radobolja” Mostar).

After the introductory presentations, the participants of the focus groups and round tables asked additional questions about the project activities and goals, and discussed the various difficulties faced by stakeholders in the agricultural sector. During the discussions, participants pointed out which segments of the project are most interested in, and suggested a number of quality ideas that can be integrated into project activities.
On this occasion, the staff of the Association of Citizens “Something More” thanks all the participants of the round tables and focus groups, and once again, like all other interested parties, invites them to visit us soon at the Center for Professional Development, which will open in March 2014. in the building of the Institute next to the building of the Agromediterranean Faculty of the University of Mostar.
