As part of the information campaign Presentation of Opportunities in the Employment of Persons with Disabilities, which is carried out as part of the project activities: “Inclusion against discrimination of persons with disabilities”, in Sarajevo on 27.08.2012. A meeting was held between the Association of Citizens “Something More” and the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo. The meeting was attended by Angelina Lučić – Project Manager, Jelena Backović – Project Assistant (UG “Nešto Više”), Emina Rovčanin – Assistant Mayor for Social Policy of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo and Vernesa Lakota – Service for Labor, Social Affairs, Health, Refugees and Displaced Persons .
The purpose of the meeting is to present the benefits for employers who employ people with disabilities and to present a catalog of biographies of project beneficiaries: “Inclusion against discrimination of people with disabilities.”
Representatives of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo expressed their readiness to support the employment of persons with disabilities. They also pointed out that the procedures must be respected, and that people with disabilities must be more informed and follow the public calls of institutions in order to fill a job. It was agreed to continue communication between UG “Nešto Više” and the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo if indicated the need for the staff listed in the biography catalog.
The project “Inclusion against discrimination of persons with disabilities” is supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
