Representatives of UGNV, Belma Hadžimahmutović and Adem Lisičić, attended the second meeting of the working group consisting of non-governmental organizations and institutions from the area of Sarajevo and East Sarajevo. The goal is to join forces: to develop a quality plan and program for the joint celebration of the International Day of Volunteerism in BiH, to provide funds, to organize and cover the event in the media in order to raise citizens’ awareness of the importance of volunteerism. Three working groups have been formed to develop detailed plans for: the Central Manifestation in the City, Volunteer Actions and Advocacy for the Law on Volunteerism. The activities envisaged by the plan would take place in the period from 1 to 4 December, and on 5 December 2011. a central event would be organized. She initiated the initiative with Magdalena Schildknecht from UG NARKO-NE, and the following organizations/institutions joined: NGO ALTRUISTA ASVJETLO”, ASSOCIATION “XY”, KJU “FAMILY COUNSELING”, YOUTH CITY COUNCIL I SARAJEVO, INSTITUTE FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT KULT, INFOHOUSE, HERinBiH, “Sunce”, UN Volunteers , Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office and UG “Nešto Više”. New organizations wishing to join are welcome.
