On May 24th and 25th, the first in a series of leadership development trainings within the “Young Leaders for the Future” project was held, led by our amazing trainer, Adina Halilović. 🚀
The first training, “Activism and Volunteering,” brought together young participants from 10 municipalities across Bosnia and Herzegovina: Milići, Bosanska Grupa, Doboj, Glamoč, Gornji Vakuf – Uskoplje, Stolac, Teslić, Mostar, Tuzla, and Zvornik. 🗺️
This initial training represented the first step of the program. It was designed to combine theoretical knowledge with practical work in individual, small, and large group settings, with a special focus on personal development, leadership identity, youth volunteering, and activism.
The training fully achieved its purpose — participants demonstrated a high level of motivation, proactivity, and readiness to learn and take action. A strong group dynamic was developed; participants were empowered both as individuals and as community members, and their potential for future participation in social change became clearly visible. The training showed that young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina possess strong energy, ideas, and the will to participate in decision-making processes, and that they are ready to take on leadership roles in their communities.
The “Dialogue for the Future 3” – #DFF3 project is implemented by @undpbih, @unicef_bih, @unesco_venice, in cooperation with the UN Resident Coordinator in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in partnership with the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The project is funded by the United Nations Secretary-General’s Peacebuilding Fund (PBF). #PBF @unpeacekeeping 🇺🇳
