The Association of Citizens “Something More” is organizing a conference “Challenges and opportunities in the development of agriculture in Herzegovina”, on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. in Mostar, in Hotel Eri from 10 am to 4 pm.
The conference is organized within the project “Support to Agricultural Development in Herzegovina” (2013-2016), implemented by UG Something More, and supported by USAID. The participants of the Conference will be agricultural producers, experts, and associations, organizations, cooperatives, companies, educational institutions and government institutions related to the agricultural sector.
The conference will consist of presentations of materials created as a result of the project (four publications made in partnership with the Center for Development and Support Tuzla, and the Faculty of Agriculture Mediterranean University “Džemal Bijedić” Mostar and the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Technology, University of Mostar), and a presentation of good agriculture practices in Ravno, as well as hydroponic technologies in food production. After that, the two working groups will discuss the agricultural advisory field service, certification of agricultural products and production, and training opportunities with practical work on the pilot farm as important segments of the project.
