The founding Assembly of the Network for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina – KULTURFED was held in Sarajevo on February 22, 2025. The Network was established by twelve civil society organizations engaged in the preservation of cultural heritage in the FBiH.
At the founding Assembly, the Statute was adopted, and the goals and future directions of the Network were defined. Mr. Zoran Bibanović from the association UTA BiH in Sarajevo was elected as the President of the Network, and Ms. Fikreta Nazifović from the association SAHAN in Vogošća was elected as Vice President. The Network’s headquarters are located in Sarajevo, at La Benevolencije 8.
The Network will actively work on establishing cooperation and partnerships between institutions and civil society organizations (CSOs) in the areas of legislation improvement, protection, restoration, promotion, and economic sustainability of cultural heritage in the FBiH. After registration, the Network will be open for the admission of new members engaged in the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage in the FBiH.
The Network was established with the support of the project “PCH Program – Protection of Cultural Heritage in BiH with the Support of Civil Society Networks”, implemented by the citizen association NEŠTO VIŠE from Sarajevo and the association Imperativ from Banja Luka. The project aims to collaborate with CSOs and institutions to protect and improve the cultural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is funded by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
