In the past two years, we have worked very hard on the hiring of persons in wood/metal/agro field through the implementation of the project “Partnership for new jobs” in the Municipality of Teslić. We planned to hire 38 people, but we were able to employ 52 persons. Our partners were the Municipality of Teslić, the Bureau for the hiring of Teslić, High school Nikola Tesla, Interfob, and partner companies from the area of the Municipality of Teslić. In the wood/metal industry 26 people were employed, while an additional 26 persons decided to launch their businesses by establishing commercial agricultural households. It is important to note that a large number of women, but also young people, went through the training and were hired through this project. We are very proud of that. In addition to persons who are employed, more than 50 people went through very extensive theoretical and practical training. That way, they created preconditions that the number of employees, as a result of this project, would be even bigger in the future.
The project is the result of a successful of co-operation of the Association of Citizens “Nešto Više” and Community administration Teslić, and through the program “Supporting local partnerships for the hiring in Bosnia and Herzegovina” funded by the European Union and implemented by the International labour organisation – ILO
