Sanja Vuković from Banja Luka, an engineer of agriculture, department of animal husbandry, shared with us her story: Project “Practical work experience for women with finished faculty” allowed me to do professional practice in the company of my choice, in accordance with my education. My choice was Household Mijatović in Banja Luka where I spent two months in practice. Soon, I felt like home in the Household Mijatović. Mentor and the rest of the crew were obliging and accessible. The process of production at the Household Mijatović consisted of the preparation and processing of land, planting and maintenance of husbandry cultures (onions, zucchini, beans, kale, cabbage, cauliflower, tomato, paprika, cucumber) that grow in the greenhouse and are treated organically.
In addition to the organic production of vegetables, Household Mijatović is recognizable for the production of dairy – milk, kefir, sour cream. I’d especially like to single out cheeses made with multiple different flavours.
On this occasion, I would like to thank the organizer of practice, as well as the employer who made it possible for this work experience and knowledge. I invite all young people to apply to every similar call and to gain their work experience in the profession in the company of their choice.
The project is supported by the Embassy of the United States of America in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the framework of the “Empowerment of women”, and implemented by the Association of Citizens “Nešto Više”.
