-Harmonization of policies for organic agricultural production in Bosnia and Herzegovina with EU standards

NEW PROJECT: The road to greater recognition of domestic producers of organic products on the European market
The Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (CARD) in partnership with the Association of Citizens Something More has started implementing the project Harmonization of policies for organic agricultural production in Bosnia and Herzegovina with EU standards.
The aim of the project is to create proposals for the adoption of new domestic policies that would be in line with European Union standards. Proposals will be submitted to the relevant institutions, based on extensive analyzes of domestic and European policies related to organic production.
By aligning BiH with EU regulations, local producers will be more visible in the European market. Since the demand for organic products in the countries of the European Union is constantly growing, it is very important to provide good preconditions for the placement of domestic products on the foreign market of organic agricultural products.
Organic agricultural production will be constantly promoted, and the public will have the opportunity to learn more about it as part of two public lectures on the possibilities and conditions of production of this type of product in BiH. At the end of the project, a final conference on organic production policies in the country will be held.
The project is supported by the European Fund for the Balkans (Regional Policy Program “Think and Link”) and will last until November 30, 2015.
