The Association of Citizens Nešto Više, in cooperation with the Center for the Promotion of Civil Society, joined the implementation of the small grant program “Be Change”, in the role of a mentoring organization to the Association of Citizens for Helping People with Autism “Children of Light” from Banja Luka. In the creation and implementation of the project “Work-occupation activities for youth and adults from the autism spectrum” funded by SIDA, Executive Director Something More Alexander Bundalo, had the role of mentor-volunteer. Through his participation and suggestions, he helped to recognize this project as an example of a good idea for helping and developing a marginalized group.
The two-month project (August 15, 2013 – October 15, 2013) aims to engage a psychologist / occupational therapist, parents of users / assistants and 12 volunteers, who will conduct creative workshops with 15 users, work on socialization and useful social activities of people with autism. spectrum. The activities envisaged by the project are weaving, making greeting cards, magnets, working with clay, plaster, plasticine, beads and similar materials, depending on the preferences of the users.
The project enters the second month of implementation, when the media promotion of the same is planned, as well as the organization of exhibition and sales activities of the Association “Children of Light” where the works of users will be exhibited.
