As part of the information campaign Presentation of Opportunities in the Employment of Persons with Disabilities, which is carried out as part of the project activities: “Inclusion against discrimination of persons with disabilities”, in Grude on 16.8.2012. A meeting was held between the Association of Citizens “Something More” and the company Violeta. The meeting was attended by Angelina Lucic – Project Manager, Jelena Backovic – Project Assistant (UG “Something More”), Miro Martinovic – Human Resources Sector and Zeljka Penava – Legal and Human Resources of Violeta.
The purpose of the meeting is to present the benefits for employers who employ people with disabilities and to present a catalog of biographies of project beneficiaries: “Inclusion against discrimination of people with disabilities.”
Representatives of the company Violeta showed familiarity with the legal provisions concerning the employment of persons with disabilities, and during the meetings they received additional information on these issues. On behalf of the company Violeta, they pointed out that they already have a number of people with disabilities employed in their ranks, and that in the coming period they intend to conduct research on which other jobs within their company can be done by people with disabilities.
They also stated that in the coming period they intend to work on the employment of a certain number of people with disabilities, in order to set a positive example to their colleagues in the business sector.
The project “Inclusion against discrimination of persons with disabilities” is supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
