On February 14 and 15, employees of UG Nešto Više in from of the consortium CRP and NV, Vanja Sudar and Adem Lisičić visited the municipalites of Neum and Berkovići where they held meetings with municipal LEAP teams. The CRP/ NV consortium has been hired to provide consulting services on the Technical Support Project to municipalites to develop Local Environmental Action Plans (LEAPs).
The results of this meeting are defined plan of activities of the LEAP coordinator and the municipal LEAP team, defined plan of activities of the LEAP coordinator and the municipal LEAP team, defined plan of promotion of all elements related to the LEAP document, formed a list of members and institutions that will be invited to participate in LEAP development in the form of a framework working group.
UNV volunteer was also present at the meetings.
MDG-F Environmental Protection and Climate Change Program: “Standardization of Environmental Management: Connecting Local and State Activities in BiH” is a three-year program jointly implemented by five UN agencies: UNDP, UNV, UNEP, FAO and UNESCO, in partnership with the Ministry of Ferign Trade and economic relations of BiH, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and Ecology of RS THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, FORESTRY AND WATER Management of RS, the Ministry of Environment and Tourism of FBiH, the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry of FBiH, municipalites and civil society organizations. The program is funded by the Spanish Millennium Development Goals Fund (MDG-F).
