Mapping of public facilities to determine the degree of accessibility for people with disabilities

“The Association of Citizens “Nešto Više”, Sarajevo, for the needs of the project “Community of Different but Equal Citizens”, is looking for a service provider for mapping public buildings to determine the degree of accessibility for people with disabilities.

The goal of the project “Communities of Different but Equal Citizens” is to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina to achieve a higher level of their involvement in the European integration process, focusing on increeasing social inclusion and non-discrimination of persons with disabilities.

The project will map 102 primary and secondary school buildings, as well as public buildings. This project task refers to determining the degree of accessibility for persons with disabilities for 8 primary and secondary schools in Trebinje, 12 schools in Tuzla Canton and 4 institutions in Trebinje, 10 primary and secondary schools in the Municipality of Teslić and 12 schools and institutions located in cities where the project is being implemented.

The implementation of this task will enable persons with disabilities and their families in these municipalities to more easily choose a possible place of education. All schools and institutions that will be mapped will receive, based on the collected data, a possible accessibility solution and/ or suggestions on how to improve it.

Main results expected from the service provider:

2.3.1. Get acquainted with the project, goals and expected results;

2.3.2. Determing the degree of accessibility for persons with disabilities for 8 schools in Trebinje, 12 schools in Tuzla Canton, 10 schools in the Municipality of Teslić, 4 institutions in Trebinje and 12 schools and institutions in other cities where the project is implemented;

2.3.3. Entering the collected data on the web portal zelimznanje.com;

2.3.4 Development of a proposal for a solution to improve accessibility for “recorded” facilities.

Object mapping elements (job description):

The object mapping proposal should include the following:

2.4.1. Visit to selected facilities (contacting schools before the visit);

2.4.2. Determining the current situation (accessibility for people with disabilities, parking, toilet, braille and all other elements according to the already defined collection matrix);

2.4.3. Development of improvements proposals for each object,  3D models as needed, the necessary possession and knowledge of computer programs that enable this;

2.4.4. Posting the collected data on the web portal;

2.4.5. Preparation of the final report.

Application:

The service provider will prepare solutions to improve the accessibility of all facilities.

The Client reserves the right to use any of the above materials as its property and public good.

The engagement will last within the time period March-December 2021.

The service provider will maintain regular communication with the Project Manager during the performance of services.

The deadline for submitting application for hiring a mapping service provider is 7 days after the date of publication of the invitation to submit bids, until 23.02.2021. year
