NGO “Nešto Više” invites all interested young individuals (aged 15 to 35) to apply for this call, which we announce under the framework “Supporting Social Entrepreneurship Ideas and Youth Development in the Western Balkans.” We are looking for TEAMS OF YOUNG PEOPLE (teams of two or more individuals) willing to participate in the program called “RISE” and who can commit 4 hours weekly for active engagement in the project, conducted mostly in English via Zoom.
The RISE Journey is a specially tailored program where participation is free and designed to help you learn, grow, and make changes in your community. We focus on collaboration, idea exchange, and peer learning to achieve better outcomes.
Do you have an idea or innovative solution for a new and improved approach to education, women’s empowerment, culture, rural development, health, or employment in your community? Skills, knowledge, and experience in social entrepreneurship will help you address social and/or environmental issues that particularly interest you and enable you to earn while doing so!
Apply now and be one of the 36 selected RISE teams from the region (6 teams each from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia). Over 3 months, you will build your idea from scratch to a business model. Throughout this journey, you will receive support from experts and mentors who will guide you through all the crucial steps of launching a social enterprise.
The two best teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, totaling 12 teams from the region, will receive financial and practical support to implement their ideas and have a positive impact on the local community.
We offer mentorship, training, networking, fun activities, travel within Bosnia and across the region, networking with experts, and of course, financial resources for the teams.
The deadline for applications is November 6, 2022, at 23:59h!
The RISE Journey consists of several stages:
- Ideation Chapter – Support in developing your idea, over a period of 3 months;
- Tailor-made program to support the development of your idea;
- Demo Day;
- Incubation Chapter – lasting 4 months;
- Idea testing and validation, grant for business idea development;
- Regional travel and networking;
- RISE Final Event.
Note: Only one person from the team (team leader who must be over 18 years old) fills out the online application!
Organizers of the RISE program will adapt the program and planned activities in accordance with the evolving COVID-19 situation.

We represent a group of 10 partners from the Western Balkans, Germany, and France who are looking for young people from the region just like you, who are making changes, and who will help us develop social entrepreneurship to create better societies.
Our organization “Nešto Više” is one of 6 organizations from the Western Balkans selected as a “Local Structure (LS).”
