In the framework of the campaign “All faces of accessibility” in Sarajevo, 29.10.2019, the second round table was held.
Representatives from 15 institutions and a large number of civil society organizations and educational institutions have responded to the invitation for participating.
We are particularly happy that representatives of all four Sarajevo municipalities – Center (Chief of the Municipality), Novi Grad, Novo Sarajevo and Stari Grad, as well as representatives of the faculty of Architecture, the Ministry of Health, Ministry of labour, social policy, displaced persons and refugees, and inspection services taking the time to listen to specific needs and suggestions of persons with disabilities that are presented by the representatives of the civil sector.
They discussed the current situation in Sarajevo, and about how they need to improve activities and to provide better results to architectural adjustments to improving the lives of persons with disabilities.
The roundtable was organized in partnership with the Association of the blind of Canton Sarajevo.
The activity was carried out in the framework of the project “Community of different, but equal citizens” which is financed by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and implemented by Organizations UDAS, Nešto Više and Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly (hCa) Banja Luka, with the support EuResurs.
Part of the preparation and organization of these activities is supported by Care International in BiH – Sarajevo.
