-Youth employment in rural areas Phase II

Within the project “Youth Employment in Rural Areas Phase II” implemented by the Association of Citizens “Nešto Više” in cooperation with the Agricultural Cooperative “Jablanica”, the Association of Women “Most” and individual farmerss from Doljan, on Friday 26.08.2011. A distiller for essential and aromatic oils was delivered in Procurement of equipment is an investment in the local economy of the municipality of Jablanica in order to ensure sustainability of employment of individual farmers, and the sustainability of the existing civil society organization and agricultural cooperatives and increase income for 20 young women, members of the Women’s Association “Most” and collecting medicinal and aromatic herbs. One of the more important expected results is the development of a model of joint responsible use of existing technical resources in agriculture. The activities were supported by the Mayor of Jablanica, Salem Dedić and Prof.dr. Nezir Tanović from the Faculty of Agromediterranean in Mostar.

The project is funded by the MDG-F Youth Employment and Retention Program, a three-year program jointly implemented by five UN agencies: UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA, IOM and UNV in partnership with the BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs, the BiH Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees and entity ministries, for Labor and Education, the Agency for statistics of BiH, entity agencies for statistics, the Federal Employment Agency, cantonal employment services, the Employment Service of Republica Srpska and the Employmet Service of Brčko District, primary and secondary schools, municipalities and rural communities, individual companies, and private sector associations and civil society organizations from the community level to the diaspora. The program is funded by the Spanish Millenium Development Goals Fund (MDG-F).
