On Friday the 18th of June, 2021 an initial meeting was held in the premises of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the West Herzegovina County, concerning establishing cooperation in the process of researching the needs of young people and supporting the development of youth policies in the West Herzegovina County. The meeting was attended by representatives of Citizens Association „Nešto Više“, Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the West Herzegovina County, PRONI Center for Youth Development and Bosnia and Herzegovina Resilience Initiative Program (BHRI). It is planned to establish cooperation in the implementation of methodology development activities, organizng focus groups and conducting research for the needs of developing youth policies of the West Herzegovina County.
Future steps have been agreed on the meeting in the official establishment of cooperation and it was emphasized that the issues of needs, education and employment of young people are high on the list of priorities in Government of the West Herzegovina County, as well as in the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Representatives of the Ministry also emphasized that the Draft Law on Youth of the West Herzegovina County has been prepared and that after its adoption, the development of strategies for youth is being considered, which requires quality research of youth needs in this area, which will enable this initiative.
