11/20/2015 Friday: 28 pairs of hands, small and large – when combined with smiles and good will, the most important jobs in the world are done. The entire staff of Nešto Više (Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Mostar), reinforced by practitioners and volunteers, made the farm even more beautiful and important today. We scattered the manure around all the fruit trees and vines, and milled everything so we were ready for the rains. In greenhouse # 1, we stretched the foils and planted 400 lettuce seedlings. In greenhouse # 2, we planted two more tubs of vegetables, and plucked the excess seedlings into the first two tables previously planted by our friends from the Sun. We cleaned the immortelles from the remains of the branches and gathered the stones in piles. All gravel is organized in one pool made of elements, and protected by nylon from dirt, wind and rain. When we transferred it to the seedling house (on the balcony) this summer, it was returned to the greenhouse # 2 – it will soon be filled and sown with new crops. Our colleague Jelena and our friend Jasmin came from Sarajevo to help us with our activities, but also to advise us on how and where to organize paths / approaches for people with disabilities – wheelchair users. Together we toured the property from all sides (it was not always easy, but we still succeeded), and agreed on several ideas on how to start farm adaptation activities for all people with disabilities. We want all people, without obstacles, to come to the farm and join the educational and all other activities that interest them.
Our friends from the Sun were SUPER-hardworking today: they did so much work, that at the end of the day we couldn’t believe what all had been done. Thank you all – you are the best volunteers – and you are always welcome: Emina, Rejhana, Sabina, Sadeta, Šana, Anida, Šemso, Majda, Slađana, Saša, Arnes, and Selma.
We rejoiced in their joy when they saw how everything they had sown / planted last time was progressing so well! ♥
Special thanks to our great practitioners Haris and Vladislav who showed great skills today by organizing activities for smaller groups! And to Muhammad, who is with us for the first time as a volunteer, and who will become our intern in about 10 days – welcome, we hope you had a nice time with us today.

Thanks to all the masters on the grill – it was delicious and invigorating.
We missed some people who could not join us today due to obligations, but we know that they were with us with all their hearts, and that they will join us some other time.
Eh, what a day, memorable !!!
Each of us learned something new, met someone new, did something useful and smiled at least 100 times during the day.
We also officially thank the weather that served us great (despite the bad forecasts) – no wind, no raindrops until the end of the day!
The night before, we arranged the tools, tidied up the benches and tables, waved to each other and went home. It will be a good night’s sleep tonight 🙂
