The project ACoRD-Alliance for Joint Rural Development funded by the European Union is from 22 to 25.10.2013. organized a workshop at REDAH’s Center for Rural Development and Agriculture. The project is implemented by ACED – Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development as a leading organization, in cooperation with domestic partner organizations REDAH, Nešto Više, LAG Una-Sana, and European partner ELARD – European Association LEADER for Rural Development. The project is also supported by the Swedish organization WE EFFECT.
One of the most important activities is a set of trainings / workshops to strengthen the capacities of partner organizations in the project. The topic of this second workshop was “Creating a rural development network in BiH” and the trainers were Petri Rinne, ELARD European LEADER Association for Rural Development and Ines Jordan, ENRD European Network for Rural Development.
The aim of the workshop was to draft a document for creating a network for rural development in BiH, based on analyzes and experiences of other networks for rural development from the region and Europe. The workshop fulfilled its goal, and the result of the workshop is a working document in which the basic guidelines are related to the structure, membership, role, funding opportunities, and which will be discussed by all future members of the network. According to the project plan, work on this activity will continue in the coming period and all interested parties will be notified later.
