As long as the main problem in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the high level of unemployment and the departure of workforces abroad, our Association has once again proved that, with quality and teamwork, we can make great progress in society in all segments in the field of employment. Through the project “Partnership for new jobs” that we have implemented with our partners from the Municipality of Teslić, we hired 52 people in the sectors of wood/metal/agro. In this way, we provide constant income for the 52 families. This project is 1 of the 19 projects that were implemented in the framework of the project “Supporting local partnerships for the hiring of Bosnia and Herzegovina” which, from 2017 through 2019, was financially supported by the European Union and implemented by International Labour Organization ILO. The total number of employees in all 19 projects is 550 people, of which 3 LPZs, including our LPZ Teslić, hired over 200 people. It greatly shows how much effort we invested and how much success we achieved. The conference was also attended by the chief of the EU Delegation to BiH and EU special representative in BiH, Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, who on this occasion expressed satisfaction with the achieved results and announced and future programs for the LPZs.
A very important part of the whole event was the signing of the MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING AND COOPERATION BETWEEN THE LOCAL PARTNERSHIPS FOR HIRING OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA between representatives of formed partnerships. The Memorandum is based on the intent of the greater number of LPZs to continue to operate long after the formal duration of the project. His signing encourages joint activities on the promotion of decent work and employment. Signer in front of the LPZ Teslić was Adem Lisičić – program manager at UG Nešto Više. The conference was, along with our representatives, attended by our partners Dragan Mišić in front of the Mayor of Teslić and Igor Bošnjak in front of the Bureau Teslić ZZZRS.
